Scaleups 2016

Fifteen scaleups were selected to represent Europe in the program for 2016, the call was supported by Silicon Valley based organizations focused on supporting specific EU countries of regions. The requirements to be considered for the SEC2SV program are to have had at least 10 employees 3 years ago, in addition to be growing more than 20% year-over-year in revenue or number of employees. The final selection was made by a group of investors composed of Startup Europe Partnership (SEP) Investors Forum members and U.S. investors. In addition to these 15 scaleups, four fast growing tech companies supported by EIT Digital Accelerator will join the delegation.

Controlant aims to be the preferred partner in quality control solutions for asset tracking and the monitoring of perishable goods. Controlant specializes in wireless temperature monitoring and asset tracking - currently the company provides services to pharmaceutical, food, industrial and logistics companies.
The solution is based on a wireless, automatic sensor network fully developed by Controlant. Combining robust hardware, an easy to use web based software and a central database, the solution can provide a unique overview of the supply chain with minimized manual work.
